At the core, individual therapy helps improve your emotion recognition, coping skills, thought patterns, and behaviors so that you can thrive. An individual therapy session typically lasts for 50-minutes and occurs every 1-3 weeks depending on your specific needs.
My approach is individualized but is rooted in behavioral-based and trauma-informed treatments. Below is a list of common modalities that I practice/include:
-Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
-Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
-Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR)
-Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT)
If you would prefer to meet virtually, individual therapy can be completed over Telehealth as long as you have access to a smart phone or a computer with internet access.
